Eco Tresort: hospitality that breathes in harmony with the local area
Tresort was founded on a clear principle: luxury must not come at the expense of the landscape that hosts it. Every design choice – from materials to technology – is designed to give back to the Maremma region at least as much as we take from it.
Energy and smart home automation
Two photovoltaic systems power the property, whilst a home automation system monitors consumption and loads in real time, optimising the use of every kilowatt. The result is comfort without waste.
Water and phytoremediation
Wastewater from the rooms passes through a phytoremediation system: organic residues are transformed into water for irrigating the surrounding greenery. A closed, silent, natural cycle.
Walls that purify the air
All external surfaces are treated with Fotosan, a transparent photocatalytic paint. When exposed to light, it neutralises CO₂ and pollutants, improving the air quality around the buildings – and around those who live there.
Roof gardens
Suspended gardens flourish on the interior and exterior ceilings: natural thermal insulation, vertical biodiversity and an aesthetic detail that blurs the boundary between architecture and landscape.
The Butterfly Greenhouse
A glass-enclosed space where you can enjoy a cup of tea or a botanical cocktail amidst live butterflies, the Cardoon Skippers, which flit amongst Buddleja plants in their natural habitat. Background music, filtered light, and the fluttering of wings marking the rhythm of time. The greenhouse also hosts meetings and intimate events for up to 20 people.
Mati’s greenery
The plants you see at Tresort come from the Mati Nursery, four generations of Tuscan excellence in the cultivation of ornamental specimens – including monumental ones – and in the design of gardens for parks, cities and residences all over the world.
